In episode 66, we interview Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and author of The 4-Week Endometriosis Diet Plan, Katie Edmonds, about many of the underlying health issues that can contribute to endometriosis and how to develop an effective whole-body healing protocol to reduce your pain and restore your fertility. Katie shares her personal journey with endo and infertility and then we start diving into some of the most important aspects of healing that simply aren't being shared with most women diagnosed with this condition. While there might not be a "cure" for endometriosis, that doesn't mean that you're destined to live in pain and struggle to build your family. In fact, many of the common symptoms associated with this disease are not even driven by the presence of the endo lesions themselves, but are actually a result of other health issues that tend to occur alongside endo, such and gut dysfunction ( think "endo belly"), nutritional deficiencies, blood sugar imbalances, and immune system dysfunction. This episode will help you completely reframe the way you think about endometriosis and open up a whole world of options you didn't know you had to start feeling better and give yourself the best possible chance at a healthy pregnancy.
